Grieving the Old Self | Entering New Levels

More and more people who are getting introduced to the inner work and changing the world within them, don't get told that there are periods when we grieve our old self and our new reality. When we grow up, we are conditioned to be apart of society, act by a certain rules created by previous generations and learn how to survive in this society. So it makes sense that we get use to being a type of way and people observing you and labeling you as something.

Thing is most of what we have been taught has been to believe in the deepest core of us that we aren't good enough, worthy enough or smart enough. That we must always look at the outside things to make us feel good or better about ourselves because those outside things (cars, relationships, careers, houses, plastic surgery, makeup etc.) will define you and who you are and make you feel better about yourself. So here we are, striving to become this amazing, wonderful, successful and happy human beings chasing the pretty little things to fulfill us.

Most of us who are waking up to this bunch of BS, understand that this idea of reality and how one is suppose to live their life is a causing a lot of damage to our mental health and nervous systems.

So the ones who wake up, start reading, meditating, doing yoga, saying affirmations and even will go and work with certain life coaches to start working on fixing their inner world. All of this is good and much needed, as our current reality and how it conditioned us to be the good little sheep in this world, JUST ISN'T WORKING. But doing the work is tough work - no lie - as someone who is constantly working on herself, going through the inner challenges, ups and downs, knows just how painful it can be to let go of what once use to be.

This stuff isn't easy!

& in a way it's not suppose to be because if it was, no one would get the satisfaction of being challenged and going through the mountain tops anyway and making it.

So here we are, the ones doing the tough inner work to make our outside world a better place for us and all of humanity. Thing is not many of us talk about how painful it is to shift your world, shift your old self into the new self.

Our bodies go through grief.

We go through grief.

It only makes sense to because what you once have known to be "safe" is crumbling apart. It is no longer making any sense and a new world that you have never lived in is now being introduced to you, and to our bodies that is scary AF. Our bodies live in the past based on these old conditioning but when we are shifting our mindset to something better, it takes some time for our bodies to catch up to a new reality. First it doesn't really understand, then it goes through the part of letting go; the grief and once you still go through that painful stage, it will go through acceptance of what is new and "safe" now. It is an adjustment period. You are the caterpillar becoming the butterfly and that transformation isn't easy and pleasant BUT you can do it. You are made to go through the discomfort of the old and into the new and unknown.

You are made to shift and transform. Trust the process, process the pain and grief and once your body can learn to trust you and what you are doing, you will transform into the butterfly you are intending on becoming. Wishing you souls a safe journey through this transformation.
